Owning Your Faith (Part 3)

Writer's picture: Bro. Garry McDevittBro. Garry McDevitt

Jesus taught His disciples that in order to own your faith, you must lose your life to a process. This process is a daily relinquishing of your will, desires, and your greatest loves.

in Luke 9:23, Jesus told us that owning a piece of the discipleship pie, meant that there was a daily disciple‘s cross that awaited us. He points us in the direction of the cross, because owning means dying to self.

Owning means dying, losing, and an ongoing discipline, of letting Jesus and His words govern our lives.

Calling yourself a Christian is easy, but living as a Christian is owning your faith.

Are you willing to own at the cost of self-determination?

Next Week we will outline what it means to live the disciple’s life and own our faith in practic.
